Canada-Japan Society of British Columbia (CJSBC) is Canada’s longest standing Asian bilateral business association. The origins of the Society date back to 1928 when a group of local business people and professionals banded together to form The Japan Society of Vancouver.

The Objective of the Organization
To encourage and to increase the opportunities in British Columbia for the extension of friendship, understanding and business between the people of Canada and Japan.
The Establishment Date of the Organization
- 1928 – Japan Society of Vancouver was established
- 1963 – The registered name was changed to The Canada-Japan Society of Vancouver
- 1992 – The registered name was changed to The Canada-Japan Society of British Columbia
Main Activities
We hold Luncheon event with the guest speaker such as Federal, Provincial and Government Officials and senior businesses representatives regularly. Major dinner gathering annually for networking between members and non-members.
