日本カナダ商工会議所では朝日ベースボール・アソシエーションと共催で以下のオンライン・イベントを開催いたします。
オリジナル朝日軍は１９２１年に日本へ遠征をしており、和歌山の旧制和歌山中学（現桐蔭高校）と交流試合を行いました。
その１００周年記念を祝して昨年３月に新朝日軍が桐蔭高校を表敬訪問することになっておりましたが、パンデミックのため、
訪問が不可能となりました。そこで３月２６日にオンラインでバンクーバーと和歌山をつないで記念式典を開催することになりました。

This is an announcement of the online event commemorating the 100th anniversary of friendship between Vancouver Asahi and Wakayama Toin High School.
The title is Connecting Canada and Japan through Baseball. It’s scheduled on March 26 at 6 pm. The original Asahi team visited Japan in 1921. Wakayama was one of the destinations of Vancouver Asahi. They had an exhibition game against Wakayama Toin HIgh School, formerly Wakayama Junior High School. The new Asahi team was supposed to visit Toin High School and celebrate the 100th anniversary of friendship between the two teams last March, but due to the pandemic, it wasn’t possible. We’ve decided to have this online event instead to commemorate the anniversary. The event will be conducted both in Japanese and English.
